A Day Trip on the Water Around Cannes is Truly Unforgettable

It is possible to experience similar enjoyment cruising Cannes on a small boat rental, as it is on a yacht. Though you may not have the top class service that a luxury yacht charter will provide, you will have the same breath-taking views and the magical feeling of the fresh sea air blowing through your hair on a small day boat charter. We have a vast array of boats to rent and we promise to find the perfect boat to fit your needs.

On a day boat charter off the coast of Cannes, the Lerin Islands are not to be missed. Situated only a few miles from the Croisette in Cannes, the Lerin Islands are an idyllic and protected natural environment, with an interesting blend of natural flora and fauna.

The history on the two islands is rich and mysterious, making for a great day of exploring. The Cannes Islands are a real highlight in the region! A figure of 8 around the islands allows you to take them in in all their beauty, and some time spent at anchor in between the islands is memorable.

During the Summer the atmosphere is incredible here as lots of boats drop anchor, and everyone soaks in the Riviera Summer! For lunch, there are a selection of exceptional and world class restaurants sprinkled along the coastline. A day boat rental to the Cannes Islands cannot be missed!

Cannes Islands

The clear waters surrounding the two islands; Sainte Marguerite and Saint-Honorat provide excellent snorkeling, perfect when your boat rental is at anchor. The nearest island to the mainland of Cannes is Sainte Marguerite. It is quickly reached on a day boat charter from Cannes Port Canto or the famous Old Port.

It has a varied flora and fauna, including rare Mediterranean plants and migratory birds. There is a strong scent of pine trees on the island and by following the National Forest Authorities guided walk you can admire a wide variety of vibrant species of flowers. The views from both ends of the islands are spectacular, from one end there is a super view of the Cap d’Antibes.

For those who enjoy history, be sure to visit the Royal Fort, a military construction with some interesting stories to tell. Across 600 metres of water from Sainte Marguerite, reachable on a day boat charter lies Saint-Honorat. Saint-Honorat boasts an outstanding collection of chapels. Dotted around the island, the chapels  have attracted pilgrims since the 6th century. On a day boat rental from Cannes the islands make for an interesting day out. Of course a visit in any direction along the coastline on a boat offers a great choice of pretty seaside villages and ports to visit.

Head East

From Cannes, head past the Cap D’Antibes and past Nice through the Baie des Anges. And spend some time in the morning exploring the beautiful bays around Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. There are great coves with crystal clear water around the Cap, perfect for a swim. For lunch, there are 3 great beach clubs in the area – Anjuna Plage at the foot of the stunning village Eze – amazing for a young, party crowd; Paloma Beach on the Cap Ferrat – great for a more refined lunching experience, and Mala Plage in a very pretty bay before Cap D’Ail – a nice relaxing, Bohemian atmosphere perfect for guests of all ages.

After lunch you might enjoy navigating around Cap D’Ail to take in the Oceanographique Musée on Le Rocher (Monaco). The view from the water is super impressive and great for some photos on-board. Afterwards, you can head back towards Cannes. Explore the beautiful Cap D’Antibes, Heineken Bay, Bay of Galise and the Cannes Islands before dropping off in Cannes in the early evening.

Pampelonne Beach, home to famous beach clubs such as Club 55, Nikki Beach and Bagatelle, is approximately 3 nautical miles east, and a very popular spot for lunch. There are also some lovely bays and quieter stretches of sand in the area, perfect for an aperitif, swim, and / or sun lounging. After lunch, head back along the bright red Esterel coastline.
